Todd and Julie Chrisley Share Type of Partner They’d Date If Other š³ššš
Todd ChrisleyĀ and his wife,Ā Julie Chrisley, have contemplated what their lives would look like in the event of an unforeseen death.
āAll of our children have said if something happens to you, they would want me with somebody else,ā Todd, 56, told Julie, 52, on the Wednesday, November 12, episode of their āChrisley ConfessionsāĀ podcast. āBut, if you were with someone else, they said, āThatās not happening.āā
Todd and Julie have been married since 1996, during which they welcomedĀ Chase, 29, Savannah, 28, and Grayson, 19. TheĀ Chrisley Knows BestĀ couple are also parents to 13-year-old Chloe, who is the biological daughter of Toddās son, Kyle, from a previous relationship.
āThey [said] they would not expect that, which I thought was crazy,ā Julie said of the kidsā logic that she shouldnāt find a new partner if Todd died. āIām their mother, and I have [been there like you have]. I just think thereās a double standard and even children have a double standard ā or ours do.ā
Like her kids, Julie would also want Todd to find a new love if she unexpectedly died.
āYes, I would because youāre not a person to be [by] yourself,ā she explained. āYou wouldnāt be good [at] functioning by yourself. Youād be too needy for your kids, like, ācause youāre a companion [and]Ā a relationship kind of person.ā
Julie, however, was not interested in dating another man in the event that Todd died before her.
āIn all seriousness because I am 52 years old,ā she said. āA 52-year-old, a 55-year-old, a 60-year-old, they donāt want a 52-year-old. I mean, itās just the reality of life. I would say, it would have to be somebody older ā and I donāt want to be with somebody older.ā
According to Julie, she also speculated that Todd āwouldnāt be with a 57-year-old womanā if something happened to her today.
āThatās just not reality, and you would not want that,ā Julie theorized. āI understand that. Iām just saying, for that reason, I just know that someone my age is not going to look at a 52-year-old like, āYeah.ā
Itās going to have to be much older, and no, Iām not [interested]. Just call it what it is. ⦠To have to get tied up with somebody else with kids and grandkids and all that stuff, Iām not [interested]. No, thank you.ā
Todd, meanwhile, revealed that heās not putting any age limitations on his potential new match.
āShe has put me out here and said I am not eligible to date older women,ā he quipped, speaking directly to the podcast camera. āIf you have enough money, I will knock the cobwebs off. So, Iām here for you.ā
Todd and JulieĀ recently reunited earlier this yearĀ after spending two years apart during their respective prison sentences. The pair had been convicted of fraud, despite maintaining their innocence, until being granted presidential pardons and securing an early release from jail.
Since Todd and Julieās reunion, they are looking forward to their next chapter together.
āI want us to enjoy life,ā Julie said on Wednesday. āI hope and pray that our health stays good [and] that we are able to travel, to enjoy our children in the [eventual] relationships that theyāre in and the children that they [will] have. [I want] to be able to travel and go do everything that weāve ever wanted to do. We are playing catch-up a lot.ā
