Savannah Chrisley Confesses She’s A ‘Wreck’ Over Brother Grayson Leaving Home
Savannah Chrisley is a “wreck” as she sends her brother Grayson Chrisley off to college.
On Sunday, Jan. 5, the Chrisley Knows Best alum, 27, shared on Instagram how proud she is of her 18-year-old brother, who is embarking on a new educational journey at the University of Alabama.

“My whole heart.. off to College you go!” Savannah captioned the post of the two. “I’m so proud of you @graysonchrisley #universityofalabama.”
The podcaster — who has served as Grayson’s legal guardian while their parents Todd and Julie Chrisley serve time in prison after being convicted in June 2022 of fraud and tax evasion — opened up about her brother leaving for college during the Dec. 31 episode of her Unlocked podcast.
“Trust me, it’s gonna be weird for me because I have said I am going I’m already starting to cry. I am going to be an absolute disaster,” she said of Grayson.
“It’s gonna be terrible. Like, I will probably just show up and just I’ll come do your laundry. We’ll go get lunch. We’ll do something because I just can’t. … And so any parents that have had kids go off to college, like, please message me. Tell me how you got through it. Give me tips.”
Savannah expressed a range of emotions on her Instagram Stories earlier this week. “Why did no one prepare for for how hard this is going to be?😭” she said in a now expired snap. ”Taking Gray to college on Sunday and I’m a wreck. My best friend … 😭. I’m so excited for him to go and make a life for himself … but boy is my heart breaking…”

“Packing the little things,” she said in another post, which showed a picture of a jar full of color-coded Bible verses. There also appears to be a hand-written note on stationery that says “Team Chrisley.” On it is a Bible verse from Matthew 6:43 that reads: “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
In May 2024, Savannah also shared a touching message for Grayson on his 18th birthday, writing: “I am so proud of you and the young man that you are becoming @graysonchrisley ❤️.”

“Many people look at our situation and think, ‘She saved him.’ But little do they know … YOU saved ME,” she said, referencing their parents’ legal woes. “This past year and a half we have spent countless hours talking, crying, and laughing … and I wouldn’t trade a single moment! You have shown up for me and loved me more than most in my life.”
“You truly are one of a kind,” she continued. “Your heart.. WOW… I’ve never witnessed anything like it. You are a true gift from God. Please don’t ever lose your warmth and kindness… I am so proud to be your sister Grayson Myles Chrisley ❤️ I’m gonna go cry now 😭.”
