What Led To Arianne Zucker Suing Days of Our Lives?
In 2023, Zucker was one of a few actresses who spoke out about the toxic work environment for females on the show due to former executive producer Albert Alarr.
The actress claimed Alarr’s actions included sexual harassment and sexually charged comments. Alarr exited the soap soon after the claims were made public and her contract expired in 2024.
Zucker’s lawsuit also named Corday Productions, which oversees the show, and its owner, Ken Corday. She stated that she was retaliated against for speaking up against Alarr, which led to her contract negotiations falling apart.
The actress declared in the lawsuit that Corday didn’t negotiate in good faith regarding a pay raise or travel stipend, ultimately forcing her to not renew. Zucker’s character Nicole was written out a couple of months later, after two decades on the beloved soap.
Soap Opera Digest reported at the time the lawsuit was filed that a spokesperson for Alarr and Days of Our Lives had denied all allegations made by Zucker.
Since then, she has been focused on other projects, giving back, and pursuing what brings her happiness.
Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on Peacock.
