TF1 removes B&B from its schedule: what future for the series?

TF1 is ending the broadcast of The Bold and the Beautiful. Discover the reasons for this schedule change and how to continue watching the series in France.

It’s now official: TF1 will remove The Bold and the Beautiful from its programming schedule starting August 22, 2025. This decision, linked to the reorganization of its morning show, marks the end of an era for fans of the soap opera on the channel.

This schedule change allows TF1 to extend its morning show “Bonjour!” from 6:55 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. starting August 25, 2025. The show will be followed by “Téléshopping,” which will disappear at the end of the year.

The last episode of The Bold and the Beautiful on TF1 will therefore air on Friday, August 22. Fans will still be able to watch the series on digital terrestrial television (TNT), on TF1 Séries Films, every morning starting Monday, August 25, 2025 at 6:30 a.m., or on replay on TF1+. It remains to be seen how long these options will be available.

This cancellation is reportedly due to declining ratings. On July 9th, the episode attracted only 218,000 viewers, representing a 7.8% market share.

The Bold and the Beautiful (also known as The Bold and the Beautiful) has been broadcast on French television since 1989, initially on France 2, and then on TF1 from January 2023.

Some are already hoping for the soap opera’s return to TF1 in early 2026, once Téléshopping is cancelled. But for now, no announcement has been made in this regard.

Following the removal of The Young and the Restless from the schedule of La Une in Belgium, this decision exacerbates the climate of uncertainty among soap opera fans. Beyond the public’s disappointment, this cancellation also represents a significant blow to the series itself.

Broadcasting on a major national channel like TF1 guarantees substantial visibility and stable revenue from broadcasting rights. By switching to a 100% streaming model or to a digital terrestrial television channel with a smaller audience, the amounts paid for these rights could be reduced.

This could ultimately affect the international profitability of The Bold and the Beautiful, whose business model relies heavily on global syndication. A reduced presence in French-speaking Europe therefore weakens its overall reach.

Soap-Passion will keep you informed of any further developments. Episode summaries and news about The Bold and the Beautiful will still be available on the site, even after August 25, 2025!
