Well, That Was Easy! Luna’s Out of Prison and Heading Straight for Will

In the episode’s opening scenes, the Logan sisters are at Brooke’s celebrating Katie’s reunion with Bill. She hadn’t felt that old spark, she says, it’s more like getting to know a whole new version of her ex.

At Spencer Publications, Liam is surprised to find his dad hurrying through his work to get home to “my Katie.” (OK, if this is the new Bill, we’re gonna need a new post-stirrer.) And while Will and Electra smooch at the beach house, Luna sobs that her life is ruined — as opposed to when she murdered two people. “I gotta see Will,” says the broken record.

News of Katie and Bill’s Reunion Spreads

At Brooke’s, Katie marvels that the Luna-cy of it all brought her and Bill together first as a family, then as a couple. At the same time, Bill is at the office telling Liam that he and Katie hope the beach house will serve as a place where Will can wipe the slate clean.

Though Bill worries that it’s too late to make things right with Katie, Liam points out that that’s obviously not the case — she came back. “Nearly losing you changed my perspective,” Bill tells his son. He wants to be the kind of partner Katie can rely on. “Whatever happens, we’re gonna handle it together.”

When Katie lets slip that Will and Electra are crashing at the beach house, her sisters are like, “Huh? The show couldn’t break out a set for them that wasn’t the site of a triple shooting?” It’s OK, Katie says. It’s been sanitized. Break out Beyond the Gates’ Febreeze!

As Katie takes off, she praises the way Bill has given Liam more responsibility at work and started trusting his employees to do their jobs. (Gee, imagine that.) In turn, Brooke and Donna marvel at how strong and fearless their little sister has been. “It just proves whatever happens, we’re gonna get through this,” Katie says, “as a family — the Spencer family.”

At the office, Bill is stunned that he now knows a leader doesn’t have to be the loudest person in the room, it can be someone quieter, more thoughtful… like Liam. Is Bill about to hand over the keys to the kingdom? Not quite. But not only has Katie deserved better than the old Bill, he says, but so has Liam. Bill’s gonna be there for everybody now!

Luna Sees Her ‘Opening’

As Will and Electra continue making like the perfect couple, Luna spots the laundry cart being wheeled by her cell once again. “I have laundry, too,” she says. God, they really are gonna go the Keystone Kops route with her escape, aren’t they? No sooner has Will said “Let’s hope there are no more surprises” than Luna cons her guard Stowell into opening her cell door.

In the episode’s final moments, Katie arrives at Bill’s office to find Rachel exorcising it. “This is a big job,” the Bikini Bar waitress tells Katie. In turn, Katie recaps her day for Bill and reasserts her desire to be there for Will. “Luna will never harm our son again,” he vows.
