GH’s Michael Easton Receives a Heartwarming Visit ‘From Beyond’

It’s always healing to pay tribute to someone we’ve lost but when we receive something connected to them after their passing, well, it’s like a gift from beyond.

General Hospital fave Michael Easton (ex-Finn), who recently came back from sabbatical to share new headshots with fans, found himself on the other end of such a gift and posted about what it meant to receive a special token surrounding a dear friend.

“Sometimes those who have left us, visit us from beyond,” Easton began then went on to explain, “Although my good friend Peter Straub passed away three years ago, I found myself opening a box that had been mailed to me this week that contained this beautiful two volume collection from Subterranean Press of Wreckage and Hello Jack the books Peter was working on when he passed.”

Not only that but what he found inside warmed his heart…

“And of course my heart swelled when I turned to the dedication page. As always Peter’s writing is as brilliant as it is terrifying and suspenseful and I know his fans will love this limited edition,” he expressed. “One of my favorite things about Peter was his humility and that despite selling millions of books, collaborations with Stephen King, his stories adapted into popular films, he was really proud of his work on One Life To Live playing Pete Braust, a retired cop who helped John McBain solve his father’s murder. I really miss him. Rest in power my friend.”

For those who didn’t watch the Llanview soap, Easton played the role of John from 2003 to 2012. Straub turned up a few times over the years to, like the actor stated, help him solve the murder case surrounding his father Thomas. It was so nice of the actor to share this special gift and we hope one day to see him bring his character back to Port Charles.
