No One Should Have To Endure What Meri Brown Has | Sister Wives

Sister Wives star Meri Brown opened up like never before about the emotional toll infertility took on her 32-year marriage to Kody Brown.

In the third installment of the series, One on One episodes, Meri shared her long-held opinions about how she claims she was treated by her fellow family members, Kody, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn Brown, over her painful infertility struggles.

E! News shared the reality star’s heartbreaking commentary. “There were definitely times in my life that I didn’t feel like anything that I could do was right,” Meri began. “Like, I couldn’t even have a baby.”

She watched as Janelle was the first of her sister wives to give birth to Logan Brown, followed by Christine’s birth with Aspyn Brown. Meri was the third wife to give birth, welcoming Leon in 1995.

However, despite her efforts, Meri was unable to conceive more children. Meanwhile, Janelle added to her brood with Madison (1995), Hunter (1997), Robert “Garrison” (1998), Gabriel (2001), and Savanah (2004).

Christine followed Aspyn’s birth with Mykekti (1996), Paedon (1998), Gwendlyn, (2001), Ysabel (2003), and Truely (2010). Robyn Brown entered their family as Kody’s fourth wife in 2010 with three children from a prior marriage to David Jessop; Dayton (2000), Aurora (2003), Breanna (2004) and had two children with Kody, Solomon (2011) and Ariella (2016).

Meri believes that despite their best intentions, she didn’t believe her fellow sister wives were “empathetic” to her struggles. “I don’t think that any of them thought I was wrong, necessarily, for having feelings and emotions. But I don’t know how empathetic they were with it.”

“It’s one thing to watch my sisters or friends or whatever have babies when I want them. It’s a whole other level to watch my husband have them with other people,” Meri continued.

However, Robyn Brown appeared to push back against Meri’s claims. She claimed that each wife would “tell Meri when we were pregnant before we would tell anyone else, to help her be able to have the time to process that.” However, as Robyn joined the family years after the original OG trio of wives were pregnant, she may only be speaking about her own experience instead of the collective group.

Robyn added she wanted Meri to “feel supported in that and say, you know, ‘I know this is hard for you and I am pregnant and I love you.’”

The fourth and final installment of the Sister Wives One on One episodes airs on February 1, 2026, at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
