‘Sister Wives’ Star Breaks Silence, Embraces Independence as New Chapter Begins

A star of TLC’s Sister Wives is breaking their silence to embrace independence as a new chapter of their life begins.

In an Instagram post shared on February 19, Janelle Brown shared an update on the building of her new home. The structure sits on a piece of property she purchased with daughter Maddie Brown Brush and her husband, Caleb Brush, that they eventually want to turn into a business, Taeda Farms.

Brown posed in front of her under-construction home. She used the same image as a backdrop of a series of captions updating her followers on its progress and her life.

“Getting closer and closer to move-in day, and emotions are high here. I just can’t WAIT,” Brown began.

“Getting closer and closer to moving day and my heart is exploding. This home represents more than a place to live,” she wrote. “It’s the first place I’ve chosen without needing agreement or permission.”

“Every decision here was mine. From the land to the layout to the timing,” Brown continued.

“What stopped working for me was waiting to feel ‘certain’ before committing. I had to learn to trust myself instead,” the reality star concluded. “The house holds proof that I can choose and support myself.”

Her social media followers shared supportive comments following her update. Many praised her courage and celebrated her decision to step into this new chapter of life.

“I could not be happier for someone I’ve never met,” wrote one Instagram user. A second agreed, “I’m so excited for you, Janelle. I have loved following your journey. Wishing you loads of luck with this next chapter.”

A third fan penned, “I am so happy for you! I know you have manifested this in your life! It looks like what you’ve always wanted and needed!!”

“Great job, Janelle! We are all rooting for you,” shared a fourth Sister Wives fan.

Janelle Brown left her spiritual husband, Kody Brown, in 2022. During Season 20 of the TLC series, she was granted a spiritual release from the marriage by their church, the Apostolic United Brethren. In a clip from the series, as shared by PEOPLE Magazine, Brown declared, “I am free. I am free. I am free. I am free.”
