Damian Kane stood silently in front of the display case of Cane’s knife collection, his eyes shining with curiosity mixed with a bit of admiration and confusion.

The knives were neatly arranged like a work of art, each blade reflecting the owner’s distant memories, the unrevealed secrets.

Damian had never really been interested in violent things, but perhaps it was the luxurious atmosphere and the alcohol that made him unable to control his curiosity, his hand gently picked up a sharp knife, feeling the heaviness and coldness of the metal, not knowing that this decision would completely change his life.

Lily Winters walked by, her eyes met Damian, the connection between the two in that moment was more than just a social conversation.

Damian, with a hint of humor, showed the knife to Lily as if sharing a little secret between the two of them, not realizing that this action had been noticed by a few The atmosphere on the train gradually changed from bustling to tense when a guest was found stabbed after a late-night party.

Every little detail of that evening slowly came back to light: who was where when, who had contact with whom, who had motive and who had opportunity.

But all the physical evidence pointed in one direction: Damian’s fingerprints were imprinted on the weapon, like an undeniable accusation. Damian was taken away for questioning by the police, all his arguments and explanations were negated by that sharp evidence.

 

While Damian was reeling from despair, Lily was also facing herself. She couldn’t deny that she had held the knife, but she was sure that when she returned it to Damian, it was still bloodless. Those thoughts were like a whirlwind, making Lily wonder about the authenticity of her memory.

Had someone quietly taken the knife, put on gloves, and committed the crime? Or was Damian the culprit and she hadn’t realized it? Suspicion gradually crept into the minds of everyone on the ship, creating a gloomy and cold atmosphere, where everyone was wary of each other, anyone could be the murderer or the next victim.

The police began to check the security cameras on the ship, but for some reason, the data recording the knife display at the crucial moment was lost.

The question of who could have manipulated the security system was raised, making the story even more thrilling. Assumptions were constantly drawn: maybe someone wanted to frame Damian, maybe the victim knew some secret of the ship owner or the guests, and was permanently silenced.

The characters gradually became important links in a sophisticated plot, when each small motive was brought to light: business hostility, secret love affairs, unpaid debts, and even the not-so-good past of many people, all blended together to create a fog of suspicion.
