Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Next Week, May 25 to 29, 2026 / DOOL Week of May 25
The week of May 25th through May 29th on Days of Our Lives may begin with grief, but in Salem, grief never stays quiet for long. Beneath the tears, flowers, and whispered condolences lies something far more dangerous.
This week is not only about mourning Sophia’s death. It is about secrets slowly rising to the surface, broken trust destroying relationships, and emotional pressure pushing several people toward choices that may change their lives forever.

Sophia’s funeral is expected to be a solemn goodbye, but Sarah’s suggestion that Holly should attend could turn the emotional ceremony into a public disaster.
Sarah believes Holly’s presence would show compassion and maturity, especially to Sophia’s grieving mother, Amy Choi.
In Sarah’s mind, attending the service could help ease tensions and prove that Holly is capable of empathy despite everything that happened between her and Sophia.
But Holly is nowhere near emotionally ready for that kind of moment. She is still deeply affected by the pain Sophia caused her, and forcing herself into a room full of grief, blame, and unresolved anger could end badly. Even if Holly says nothing, her discomfort may be obvious.
Amy, already consumed by heartbreak, may interpret Holly’s presence as disrespect rather than support. One look, one reaction, or one poorly timed comment could ignite a confrontation in front of everyone attending the funeral.
And if Amy lashes out publicly, Holly may not stay silent. The cyberbullying accusations hanging over Holly could suddenly become part of an even uglier conflict.
Sarah wants peace, but instead, she may accidentally create the exact explosion she hoped to avoid. In Salem, grief often becomes fuel for revenge, and Sophia’s funeral may leave emotional damage that lasts far beyond the ceremony itself.
Meanwhile, EJ DiMera’s storyline is heading into much darker territory. Desperate to recover the missing pieces of his memory, EJ agrees to hypnosis sessions with Marlena.
For EJ, losing control over his own mind is unacceptable. He can survive betrayal and enemies, but uncertainty terrifies him. That is why these hypnosis sessions could become incredibly dangerous, especially for Cat Greene.
Cat knows she is connected to EJ’s lost memories and fears that even one recovered detail could expose everything she has been hiding. EJ may begin remembering voices, faces, or moments from the clinic in Italy. And once EJ becomes suspicious, he never stops digging.
He studies reactions, tests people’s stories, and quietly builds traps before anyone realizes what he is doing. If Cat loses control of the narrative before she can protect herself, EJ may turn her secret into a weapon.
At the same time, Gabi world continues falling apart after Phillip discovers the truth about her involvement in Tony DiMera’s merger sabotage. Phillip no longer sees her lies as small mistakes.
To him, they represent betrayal. Gabi desperately wants to explain herself, but Phillip appears emotionally finished with the relationship.

If Gabi is forced to move out of the Kiriakis mansion, the moment will symbolize far more than the end of a romance. It will represent the collapse of the future she thought she was building.
And things become even more painful once Ari learns that Gabby offered Liam money to leave town. Gabby believed she was protecting her daughter, but Ari may see it as manipulation and control.
Instead of feeling protected, Ari could feel betrayed by both Gabi and Liam. The realization that decisions about her life were being made behind closed doors may permanently damage the trust between mother and daughter.
Finally, Sarah faces another devastating shock when she begins suspecting that Xander and Kristen are growing dangerously close.
Her fear is not only about jealousy. Kristen DiMera has a long history of manipulation, and Sarah worries that Xander is being pulled back toward the darkest parts of himself.
Kristen may see Xander as vulnerable enough to manipulate, especially if she wants EJ eliminated. She does not need Xander to love her. She only needs him angry, reckless, and desperate enough to make one unforgivable decision.
By the end of the week, Salem will be drowning in emotional chaos.
Funerals may spark wars, memories may expose deadly secrets, and love may no longer be enough to repair the damage. In Salem, one betrayal is often all it takes to destroy everything.
