Congratulations!! Portia Robinson officially welcomes a new family member

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one Port Charles resident will find herself in distress soon enough.

Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) is heavily pregnant and set to go into labor in the near future, so that’ll lead to some scary moments.

Summer preview spoilers indicate that Portia has more conflict ahead of her.

It turns out Portia’s emotions will come pouring out in yet another heated confrontation with someone, so who will she face off with?

Portia and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) recently tried to get on the same page for the sake of Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and their unborn child, but the peace may not last long.

That’s especially true now that Trina is fed up enough to take a step back from her parents.

It could add to the strain as Curtis and Portia prepare to welcome their family addition.

It’s possible Portia will have another fight with Curtis that sends her into labor.

Then again, maybe it’ll be another round of hostility with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) instead.

Regardless, Portia has a medical emergency ahead since she’ll indeed have a showdown that sets labor in motion.

It’ll leave Portia dealing with some painful contractions and not a lot of time to get to GH.

There’s a chance Portia might have to give birth somewhere less convenient and potentially dangerous.

It certainly wouldn’t be the first time a baby was born outside the hospital on a soap!

Of course, it’s also possible that Portia will indeed make it to GH for the urgent care she needs.

Either way, this could turn into a frightening delivery depending on how it all plays out.

It’s pretty common for soap babies to face a snag or two when they’re trying to enter the world.

The soap writers like to play up the drama of a risky birth, so Portia may end up fearing for her child’s life if things get dicey.

However, Portia and Curtis’ newborn will hopefully be healthy in the end.

This baby could help Trina mend her relationship with her parents and should be part of the reason why Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) is set to return to town.
