The July 2, 2025 episode of Days of Our Lives promises a dramatic turning point, especially for Sophia (Rachel Boyd), whose storyline is about to explode in ways fans never saw coming.
After enduring a wave of Braxton Hicks contractions in recent episodes, it now seems the real moment has finally arrived.
But instead of a joyful, traditional delivery, Sophia’s labor takes a secretive and highly emotional turn — one that will leave Salem stunned and viewers questioning her motives.
According to spoilers and sneak peek photos, Sophia appears to give birth alone in her bedroom, hidden from friends and family.
When she later emerges in public, noticeably without a baby in her arms and dressed in a surprising disguise, speculation runs wild. Where is the child? What is she hiding? And why would she go to such lengths to conceal this monumental event?
As revealed in the DAYS summer preview, Sophia doesn’t keep the baby. In a deeply emotional and clandestine decision, she makes her way to the Salem Fire Department under the cover of night and leaves the newborn there, walking away without a word.
The infant is later discovered by Javi (Al Calderon), a newly hired firefighter, who is shocked to find an abandoned baby left anonymously. This discovery may spark a city-wide search for the child’s mother, setting the stage for a potentially explosive reveal — especially if Javi begins to connect the dots.
