It seems highly unlikely that The Bold and the Beautiful will return to TF1’s schedule in January 2026. While many fans were hoping for the soap opera’s return to television after its exclusive run on TF1+, an announcement by Thierry Thuillier, head of news for the TF1 group, has dashed any remaining hopes of a return to the main channel.
A new morning show schedule closes the door on The Bold and the Beautiful
Thierry Thuillier has confirmed that the morning show “Bonjour!” will be extended once again starting in January 2026. ‘
The program will continue to be hosted by Bruce Toussaint from 6:55 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., but the major change lies in the following time slot. Starting at 10:00 a.m.,
TF1 will introduce a new hour-long program, continuing the run of Bonjour!, but hosted by Christophe Beaugrand. This block will run until 11:00 a.m.
This restructuring completely occupies the historic 10:00 a.m. slot, long associated with soap operas on TF1. In practical terms, no time slot is now available to consider the return of The Bold and the Beautiful to the channel during the week.
A disappointment for fans… but a predictable scenario
Since its move to TF1+ and its early morning broadcast on TF1 Séries Films, the series had already lost its visibility on TF1. Some were hoping for a return with the January 2026 reorganization.
With this decision, TF1 confirms that its priority is now to strengthen its morning news and talk show block, at the expense of the daily soap opera.
The Bold and the Beautiful holds its own nonetheless
Even relegated to a very early morning time slot, The Bold and the Beautiful continues to perform well on TF1 Séries Films. As Toutelatele points out, “Despite airing at dawn, the series sometimes achieves the channel’s highest ratings.”
This performance shows that the audience remains loyal and that the soap opera retains real potential, even outside of TF1.
