Breaking News: Liam Spencer Finally Confirmed What We All Were Suspected – So heartbreaking
Liam Spencer suffered a health setback on The Bold and the Beautiful. His collapse led him to wonder whether he was dying. Actor Scott Clifton assumed that he was on his “way out” of the soap. He spilled the details of the original plot at the Daytime Emmys.
Shocking B&B Plot Twist
Many B&B characters have died and come back from the dead. Luna (Lisa Yamada) was brought back to life thanks to her Aunt Li (Naomi Matsuda). Scott Clifton admitted that Liam had cheated death as well. He thought his character was supposed to be killed off.
Clifton spoke to Daytime Confidential on the red carpet at the 2025 Daytime Emmys. Clifton explained that Executive Producer and Head Writer Brad Bell had intended for Liam to die. “I was supposed to be on my way out. That was the plan,” Clifton said.
He admitted that it wasn’t a plot twist that would “trick” the audience, even though it felt like it. Viewers were shocked that Liam cheated death. In Clifton’s mind, he was preparing his “swan song” and “saying his goodbyes.” Regardless, he was “honored” to tackle this difficult storyline.
What’s Next For Liam Spencer?
Liam’s love life is far from perfect. He waffled between Steffy and Hope for decades. When he had a near-death experience, he realized that he wanted to get back with Hope for the sake of their daughter.
Hope and Liam seemingly got back together. She ended her engagement with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), who promptly removed the ring from her finger. He knew that she had lingering feelings for Liam. Surprisingly, their split was mature and amicable.
Clifton also shared his thoughts on the “Lope” reunion. “I would love to believe that this journey that Liam and Hope have gone through hasn’t been for nothing,” he said. He believes that “it will stick this time,” at least for now.
In the future, the actor hopes to see both characters “grow and change.” What are your thoughts on this B&B plot twist? Let us know in the comments section.
