According to her statements, she depends on short-term gigs, live performances, and touring opportunities, which means her monthly earnings fluctuate heavily.

In her filing, Jahaira also argues that maintaining her career requires constant training, auditions, and unpaid preparation work. Because of this, she says she is unable to maintain the same standard of living she had during the marriage without financial assistance.

One of the key points in the case is the income difference between the two. Jahaira reportedly earns around $1,150 per week before taxes, while she claims Bryton James earns over $34,000 per month through his acting work, including his long-term role on The Young and the Restless.

Bryton, on the other hand, had previously requested that no spousal support be awarded to either party during the divorce proceedings. In fact, the final divorce judgment initially removed the court’s authority to assign spousal support.

Despite this, Jahaira’s new filing attempts to reopen the issue, arguing that her financial situation justifies ongoing support. This has created renewed tension between the former couple, even after their official separation.
