EXCLUSIVE – BIG RUMOR: 2025 Daytime Emmys winner in top categories leaked ahead of awards show
If you have The Young and the Restless winning multiple categories at the 2025 Daytime Emmys, you’re probably going to do well in your office pool.
Per the latest Gold Derby prediction data, the venerable CBS soap opera has a 73 percent chance of winning Best Drama Series during the Friday ceremony.
Y&R‘s two competitors — yes, there are only three total this year because of the new rule regarding submissions — are General Hospital with a 21 percent chance and Days of Our Lives with a 6 percent chance.
This would be The Young and the Restless‘ 12th overall victory in Best Drama Series, and its first since 2020. General Hospital has the all-time record in this category with 17 wins, including the last four in a row. Days of Our Lives has won this race four times.
Y&R is also expected to take home trophies for Peter Bergman in Best Drama Actor (75 percent) and Eileen Davidson in Best Drama Actress (64 percent).
Bergman has the nominations record in his category with 25, and he has won three times for playing Jack Abbott in 1991, 1992, and 2002. Davidson is enjoying her fifth career nomination this year; she previously won for playing Ashley Abbott on Y&R in 2018, and for her role as Kristen DiMera on Days of Our Lives in 2014.
The rest of the Best Drama Actor category consists of Dominic Zamprogna as Dante Falconeri on General Hospital (13 percent), Eric Martsolf as Brady Black on Days of Our Lives (6 percent), Greg Rikaart as Leo Stark on Days of Our Lives (4 percent), and Paul Telfer as Xander Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives (4 percent).
Davidson is competing against the following in Best Drama Actress: Nancy Lee Grahn as Alexis Davis on General Hospital (19 percent), Michelle Stafford as Phyllis Summers on The Young and the Restless (8 percent), Sharon Case as Sharon Newman on The Young and the Restless (6 percent), Laura Wright as Carly Spencer on General Hospital (2 percent), and Melissa Claire Egan as Chelsea Lawson on The Young and the Restless (2 percent).
The Best Drama Supporting Actor field is led by Michael Graziadei as Daniel Romalotti on The Young and the Restless, with a 60 percent chance of claiming victory. This would be Graziadei’s first Daytime Emmy statuette.
The other supporting actor nominees are: Gregory Harrison as Gregory Chase on General Hospital (21 percent), Jonathan Jackson as Lucky Spencer on General Hospital (13 percent), Blake Berris as Everett Lynch on Days of Our Lives (4 percent), and Tajh Bellow as TJ Ashford on General Hospital (2 percent).
For Best Drama Supporting Actress, Kate Mansi as Kristina Corinthos-Davis on General Hospital is out front with 82 percent support. Mansi previously won this category in 2017, so she’s now looking for a bookend.
The remaining supporting actress contenders are: Linsey Godfrey as Sarah Horton on Days of Our Lives (6 percent), Courtney Hope as Sally Spectra on The Young and the Restless (6 percent), Susan Walters as Diane Jenkins Abbott on The Young and the Restless (4 percent), and Emily O’Brien as Theresa Donovan on Days of Our Lives (2 percent).
