Y&R Spoilers Next Week reveals that Phyllis instigated Lily to sue Cane for misconduct within the company. Phyllis will relentlessly provoke Lily, constantly reminding her of Cane’s betrayals, his dishonesty, and his manipulation in the AI case.
Phyllis will exploit Lily’s frustration and “pity” for Cane to incite Lily to formally file a lawsuit against Cane for misconduct, possibly related to Arabesque or his past shady financial dealings.
Lily thought she had just overcome the most exhausting hurdle in her life: the threshold of looking back at Cane with a “softer,” less bitter feeling, less resurrected by the past whenever she heard his name.
This change wasn’t necessarily forgiveness, nor was it a return to the past. It was a rare moment when Lily allowed herself to breathe, acknowledging that the man before her might have been caught up in things bigger than his own ego, that mistakes – though indelible – could sometimes be viewed with less harsh eyes.
But in Genoa City, compassion was rarely spared. And Phyllis, always sensitive to emotional fissures, almost immediately sensed Lily’s momentary hesitation from the blade of judgment.
