General Hospital Recasts Serena Baldwin, B&B and Y&R Alum Kelly Kruger Coming to Port Charles
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a familiar character will have a new look when she appears this July 2026.
If you’ve been missing Serena Baldwin (previously played by Carly Schroeder), you’re in luck since she’s headed back to Port Charles in the form of a recast.
According to TV Insider, Kelly Kruger is stepping into the role of Serena, who was last seen in 2017.
Serena has still been mentioned in recent years, but now she’s about to return in person and shake things up.
Kruger first reported to set for filming on June 8, so Serena’s return is already underway.
It’ll be interesting to see what Serena’s up to and what kind of stories await following her PC comeback.
As for Serena’s family ties, her biological parents are Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) and Dominique Stanton (Shell Danielson), who died before she was born.
Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) stepped up as a surrogate and eventual adoptive mom, so she’s been an important part of Serena’s life as well.
Plus, Serena is connected to Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) since they shared a bio mom.
Since Serena is Cody’s half-sister, they’ll no doubt have some scenes together and do some family bonding once she returns to town.
Kelly Kruger will be familiar to many soap fans since she’s an alum of both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.
Kruger spent some time on Y&R as Mackenzie “Mac” Browning and has done stints on B&B as Eva the publicist, too.
You might have heard Kelly Kruger’s name in the news lately since she made a joint announcement with Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful) about the end of their marriage.
In March, Brooks and Kruger made it clear that they’re committed to moving forward as friends and co-parents.
Brooks recently made a B&B comeback, but now it’s Kruger’s turn to revisit the world of daytime TV.
Kruger is about to make her GH debut, so it’ll be great to see her tackle the role of Serena Baldwin and find out what she brings to the table!
