General Hospital’s Kelly Thiebaud Hints at Next Love Story – Is Britt Moving On from Jason?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) has been dealing with a lot lately.
In addition to trying to keep Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) safe, Britt’s been under serious pressure to complete a dangerous prototype for Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) cold fusion project.
It’s been stressful for Britt to juggle all that while dealing with her tricky meds situation all the clashing she tends to do with Cassius Faison aka “Nathan West” (Ryan Paevey) on any given day.
It’s easy to see why Britt recently decided to leave Port Charles and just accept her Huntington’s fate, but some twists and turns are brewing.
Britt still has a future on this show, so Kelly Thiebaud recently talked to SOD about what that future might look like.
After acknowledging that Britt “can’t catch a break,” Thiebaud admitted it’d be nice if Britt’s life could calm down a bit.
Britt has been operating in constant panic mode for what feels like forever, but there’s room for change.
“I would like to see her life maybe not be so stressful and chaotic and life-or-death,” Thiebaud said. “I’d like to see her have a little bit of ease and fun — and maybe even some love soon!”
Britt and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) love story came to a screeching halt when the WSB dragged him off to a black site in Jakarta.
Now Britt has no way of knowing if she’ll ever be reunited with Jason and have a chance to pick up where they left off.
Of course, we know Steve Burton is set to return to filming in June, but that doesn’t necessarily mean his love story with Britt will continue.
Even if Britt and Jason try to make things work, it’s possible GH writers could use this opportunity to pivot in new romantic directions for them both.
We’ve already heard some insider rumblings about Britt getting a new love interest at some point.
There’s no confirmation on that yet, but behind-the-scenes buzz suggests Britt may fall for someone other than Jason and perhaps head down a different path.
After all, Kelly Thiebaud didn’t confirm whether her next romance will be with Jason or not.
When Thiebaud hinted about “maybe even some love soon” for Britt, she might’ve been teasing another romantic storyline entirely.
Regardless, Thiebaud is rooting for her character to have some fun and focus on her love life, so we’ll see if good news is ahead for Britt.
General Hospital spoilers say Britt has more curveballs coming up, so stay tuned.
