Hope falls right into Steffy’s trap but Katie cant stop it on THIS Episode B&B
At Forrester, Ridge, Eric, Zende and RJ take in a preview of the new couture line in the showroom. They’re very pleased, and Eric shouts out RJ, which leaves Zende rolling his eyes.
Carter, in the corner, asks Zende’s opinion. He says his granddad has never put out better work. RJ declares that Logan’s going to be left in the dust. As the models file out, a concerned Carter warns Ridge and Eric that this is shaping up to be the most expensive line in their history.
Ridge and RJ aren’t worried about it, but Zende sides with Carter. They have to be careful, especially if they’re bringing back Hope For the Future right after. He certainly hopes that’s still the plan.
In the design office, Carter knows Zende is upset. He feels under-appreciated because the Golden Child is in town. Carter recaps that he thinks he’s taking a backseat to RJ. Zende says, “Because I am.”
Slap In the Face
At Logan, Hope unloads about her guilt where Brooke is concerned; she hates lying to her mother. Bill suggests they call Brooke and come clean. Liam and Katie panic at the very idea. Hope understands the need for secrecy, but she’s worried her mom may never forgive her.
Once Hope assures them that she’s committed, she worries about them throwing this in her mother’s face. Bill says they’re won’t, but Ridge is another story. Hope warns they’ll see it as the ultimate slap in the face. Bill and Liam enthuse about taking Forrester down. They won’t see it coming until it’s too late.
Can’t Compete
In Forrester’s main office, Brooke and Steffy lament over Marjorie in wardrobe retiring. Talk swings to reinstating Hope’s line. Steffy assures her she won’t renege, though she can’t give her a date yet. As talk turns to Hope’s leave, Steffy’s soap ESP kicks in, and she wonders if something is going on with Hope that she doesn’t want them to know about.
Brooke admits she was shocked by Hope taking a leave. Steffy wonders what Katie is up to this time. Brooke isn’t sure, but she knows they can’t compete. Plus, her sister promised to only hire Spencers.
At Logan, Hope gets a call from Steffy, who asks to see her at the office. “It’s important.” Hope agrees and disconnects. She worries that Steffy is onto her. Liam suggests she not put her off. Hope says as far as she knows, she’s on sabbatical. Bill replies, “One you’re never returning from.”
The Final Scenes
In the design office, Zende rants about RJ getting props from Ridge and Eric. Carter argues it may just be encouragement. Zende snaps that he did the work. Carter suggests he stay calm. Zende wonders if he should take a leave like Hope to get their attention. He can’t keep doing this. Something has to change soon.
Brooke finds Eric, Ridge and RJ in the showroom. The adults all gush over RJ. Brooke is so proud of him. She just wishes she could say the same about her little sister.
At Logan, Bill urges Katie and Liam not to work themselves up over Steffy summoning Hope. He’s sure she has no idea what’s going on. Liam’s concerned that Hope is walking into some kind of a trap.
Hope walks into Steffy’s office and says she was surprised to get her call. Steffy sensed she was in the middle of something… she seems off. Hope is pressed for time. Steffy says this is about them and their relationship through the years. They’ve had their issues and Hope needed space. “But let’s be honest, Hope. No more games. I know exactly what you’re doing and I called you here to put a stop to it.”
