“Julie’s Emotional Statement Leaves Fans in Tears — The Truth About Her Marriage to Todd”

Todd Chrisley and his wife Julie Chrisley are speaking out about the future of their marriage after divorce rumors surfaced

While appearing on the July 8 episode of their daughter Savannah’s Unlocked podcast, the couple was asked about rumors they were breaking up after President Donald Trump issued them full pardons and they were released from prison on May 28.

“No. No. Let me set the record straight,” Julie, 52, insisted. “We are not getting divorced. I actually think that we settled back in fairly easy.”

Julie was at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. while Todd, 56, was housed in Florida’s Federal Prison Camp Pensacola.

“In my mind, I was never away from her,” explained Todd, who married Julie in 1996. “I would tell her in the emails every day, I said, ‘I’m with you every step you take.’ And I’d say, ‘And feel my love surrounding you at all times.’ So when I went to bed at night, she was right there with me. When I woke up and I did my prayers, she was right there with me. And that’s how I survived it.”

“I don’t think there was ever anything in my mind that we were separate or that we were ever going to be separate,” Julie said, to which Todd shared, “I never had that either.”

“And so I think it allowed us to really just come back together,” Julie added.

Savannah then inquired about their “first night together” following their release.

“The first night together, I was so grateful to just to be able to get in the bed with her,” Todd recalled. “And I think you said it best, there was no awkwardness. There was no, like, what are we supposed to be doing? Was none of that.”

“We kinda just fell back into our routine,” Julie shared.

“I mean, we got back in our routine. I mean, she got on top,” Todd joked, to which Julie said, “He is such a liar. Please cut that out.”

The couple previously revealed they plan to relocate following their release.

“You know, I think we will always have a presence in Nashville, but I have a pull for Julie and I to go back to South Carolina — to Charleston — to that area. And we have plans for what we wanna do,” Todd said during an interview for an ABC News Studios special The Chrisleys: Life After Lockup.

He added, “We have hopes of acquiring a hotel — a mansion — there, that we are gonna convert into a hotel, and we’re gonna create a show around that.”

The pardons from President Trump put an end to a legal saga which led to the pair being indicted on 12 counts of bank and wired fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy and later convicted and sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison in November 2022 (though that number was reduced by around two years each in September 2023).

They immediately began appealing their case, and while Todd’s appeal was upheld, Julie’s was initially granted due to insufficient evidence. However, a judge later ruled that her original punishment was sufficient.
