Patty Returns, Paul Williams Returning Too? Young & Restless Casting Update
The Young and the Restless recently announced that Stacy Haiduk, who plays Patty Williams, is set to return in the upcoming month.
Introduced in 1980, Patty is Paul’s sister and a twisted character who has been portrayed by several actors over the years, with Haiduk taking over the role between 2009 and 2016.
Viewers last saw her running away with Ian Ward before being dragged back to a mental institution to get help.
The Young and the Restless reveals the return of Stacy Haiduk’s Patty Williams
The Young and the Restless announced the return of Patty Williams, without disclosing much on how she would be incorporated into the ongoing storyline.
However, executive producer and head writer Josh Griffith recently shared a few words on the popular antagonist’s comeback in a conversation with TV Insider. He said, “Everyone at Y&R couldn’t be more excited to welcome back Stacy for this exciting storyline when trouble once again finds Patty.”
Patty Williams was married to Jack, whom he later divorced, but she soon became obsessed with him after seeing him grow close to Phyllis Summers.
Her obsession with Jack crossed boundaries at times, leading to her becoming mentally unstable and committing several dangerous acts.
For instance, during Jack’s wedding to Genevieve, she replaced the bride. When Jack lifted her veil, Patty disclosed her true identity and shot him on the spot.
Although she escaped the venue, her brothers eventually found her and got her admitted into a mental institution called Fairview. However, soon enough, she returned to Genoa city by escaping the institution. Patty later ran away with Ian Ward, but eventually ended up in the mental facility again.

Haiduk returns as Patty Williams on The Young and the Restless in March 2026.
Although Haiduk is back at Y&R, she’ll continue to portray her role as Kristen DiMera and occasionally Susan Banks on Days of Our Lives.
