‘Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Admits There’s ‘A Bad Side of Me’ in ‘Special Forces’ Trailer
Sister Wives star Kody Brown made a startling admission in a trailer for the new season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, acknowledging there’s “a bad side of me.”
The reality television star is one of 18 celebrity recruits who will be challenged to endure rigorous, military-style training exercises on the reality television series.
Special Forces pushes recruits to their limits, challenging their physical strength, mental toughness, and emotional endurance in extreme conditions while supervised by experienced Directing Staff members.
Brown was seen in an extended YouTube clip from the series, where he made a surprising admission about his Special Forces experience. It appears to piggyback on many Sister Wives viewer theories about his questionable behavior towards family members, as seen on the TLC series.
“There’s a bad side of me that I just want to burn down,” Brown says. His remarks are bookended by a series of clips where he is challenged to box another contestant.
However, the video appears to show Kody’s defeat. Directing Staff member Mark “Billy” Billingham yells “Stop” to halt the other celebrity from throwing punches after it appears the Sister Wives star takes a beating in the ring.
Kody admits to ’emotional weakness’
In an interview with E! News, Kody admitted that the challenges featured on Special Forces pushed contestants to their limits. “They’re finding your weakness. And they’re pushing you on your weakness.”
“And they found me in an emotional weakness. They found me in a mental weakness.”
He continued, “It felt like it broke me. It was humiliating in such a way that I came home feeling just humble.”
“There’s a humility that makes the rest of your life sweet,” Kody concluded of the experience. “I’ve felt good ever since it was over.”
Did Kody Brown finish ‘Special Forces?’
It has not been revealed who will be a finalist in the fourth season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. Therefore, it is unclear whether Kody Brown remained until the season’s end.
Special forces recruits are not eliminated throughout the season, says a show press release. “There are no votes and no eliminations – just survival,” it reads. Contestants leave voluntarily, due to injury, or at the discretion of the directing staff.
The Sister Wives star will compete against RHONJ stars Teresa and Gia Giudice, Brianna LaPaglia, RHOA star Eva Marcille, The Valley‘s Brittany Cartwright, and actor Jussie Smollett.
Also competing are Eric Decker and wife Jessie James Decker, Mark Estes, Olympian Shawn Johnson and her husband Andrew East, model Chanel Iman, actor Ravi V. Patel, Olympian Christie Pearce Rampone, NBA star Nick Young, and former NFL players Randall Cobb and Johnny Manziel.
Special Forces premieres Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET on FOX, and Sister Wives Season 20 debuts Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
