‘Sister Wives’ star Kody Brown opens up about his divorces & relationships with his children

Sister Wives star Kody Brown is taking “ownership” of his mistakes as a father and a husband as he continues to push himself on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

Brown is asked whether he feels he’s taken “proper responsibility” for the fallout with his children, during a preview clip of the Thursday, November 6 episode shared by People.

“I don’t want to admit I’m wrong sometimes,” the reality star, 57, says. “I don’t like being wrong.”

He continues, “There was a point in my life when I was concerned about everybody.”

SAS Operator Mark Billingham cuts off the TLC star to emphasize, “As long as they agree with everything you believe in.”

Brown – who shares 18 children between his three ex-wives and current wife Robyn Brown – admits he “should have had a stronger relationship” with his children.

“I’m at a place in my life now where I’m very willing to say that I’ve been wrong,” he adds.

“My failures were because I didn’t know s**t about being a good dad and husband, and I thought I did. I really thought I did, and I misunderstood that. I did it wrong in so many ways, and I hated being blamed for it, and so it made me resistant to ownership.”

Many of the polygamous patriarch’s adult children have been open about their strained relationship with their father, including daughter Maddie, son Gabe, and late son Garrison.
