What Happened To Kody Brown’s Three Ex-Wives?

It’s been more than a decade since Sister Wives first introduced viewers to Kody Brown and his unconventional family.

What began as a series meant to educate the public about plural marriage has since transformed into a story of heartbreak, independence, and reinvention.

Today, the Browns are nearly unrecognizable from the close-knit family who once lived together in Utah. The wives are scattered across the country, each carving out a new life beyond Kody — who remains legally married only to Robyn, his last and sole partner.

Meri Brown, Kody’s first wife, was the last to leave but has since undergone a major transformation. After her split in 2023, Meri returned to Utah to focus on her personal growth and business ventures.

She reopened her family’s historic home, which once operated as a bed and breakfast, but later decided to close it, realizing it wasn’t her true passion. Instead, she’s focused on building her online brands — Worthy Up, LuLaRoe, and ParkLane — and finding herself again.

“I’m just having fun, building businesses, and taking adventures,” Meri shared on social media. Now, she’s also opening her heart to love again, though she admits dating hasn’t been easy.

“Some people aren’t interested because of my background,” she revealed, emphasizing that trust and honesty are her top priorities.

Meanwhile, Janelle Brown chose a completely different path. After years of uncertainty in Arizona, she left Kody and moved to North Carolina, where she bought land with her daughter to build Taeda Farms. The project represents her independence — a chance to finally create something entirely her own.

“After years of sharing space and decisions, I’m finally building my forever home,” she wrote on her blog. Beyond farming, Janelle has turned her personal experiences into empowerment coaching, helping other women start over later in life.

Sister Wives' Christine Reveals the Moment She 'Felt Like Slapping' Janelle Brown

Through her program, Strive with Janelle, she mentors women seeking confidence and purpose after major life transitions. She also remains active in health and wellness, working with Plexus, despite mixed fan reactions.

Christine Brown, on the other hand, was the first to break free — and she found love again. After leaving Kody and returning to Utah, Christine began dating David Woolley, and their whirlwind romance led to a fairytale wedding in 2023. “It’s everything I never thought I’d have,” Christine told People, describing her happiness and sense of peace with her new husband.

Beyond love, Christine has also shared her journey in her 2025 memoir, Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family, and Finding Freedom, which became a bestseller. The book offers an honest, emotional look into her years in polygamy and her decision to choose independence.

While the Browns’ relationships may have fallen apart, their individual stories show resilience, growth, and the courage to begin again.

From heartbreak to empowerment, the former sister wives have redefined their lives — proving that even when a family built on shared faith and love falls apart, each woman can still rise stronger than before.
