Will Days of our Lives Melinda Never Learn?

Hardly anybody on Days of our Lives likes Melinda Trask. We actually do. We think she was only doing her job all those times that, as District Attorney, she arrested beloved Salem citizens for the silly crime of breaking the law.

Doesn’t Melinda know that people should be charged based on vibes, as the young people say, and not on silly things like evidence and eyewitness testimony?

Now that she’s a corporate attorney, we don’t think she’s any worse than anyone else in the business, and the not selling Julie back her necklace… eh, that pales in comparison to some other crimes Salem has seen, including ones committed by Julie.
So, we’re chill with Melinda. But we do have to wonder why she never, ever learns.

Melinda (Tina Huang) told Sophia (Rachel Boyd) that she’s helping Sophia with her baby scheme because Melinda was once in Sophia’s position: A pregnant teenager who gave up her child. That’s sweet.

She’s been supportive and helpful and, oh, yeah, criminal.
